The 12-th International Specialized Trade Fair of Equipment and Materials for Packing UPAKOVKA' 2011 took place on September 13 - 16, 2011. It is the largest exhibition event in Ukraine dedicated to modern package for food products.

Ukrainian food processing market still remains rather attractive for equipment and technology import. Current trends of food production are forcing manufacturers to pay more attention to food packaging, on which depends their successful implementation, thereby attracting interest to the package exhibition.

INPRODMASH & UPAKOVKA Trade Fairs are supported by:

• Ukrainian Association for Quality 
• National University of Food Technologies
• Odessa National Academy of Food Technologies

These organizations were actively involved in organizing business program of the exhibition, the main idea of which was improvement of food quality and safety.

Minister of  Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, Mr. Nikolay Prysiazhniuk, stated that INPRODMASH & UPAKOVKA exhibitions  contribute to the further integration of Ukraine's agricultural sector into global markets, as well as to the improvement of investment and innovative activities of food and processing industry enterprises.

Traditionally, along with UPAKOVKA' 2011 was held the 20-th International Specialized Trade Fair of Equipment and Technologies for Food Processing Industry INPRODMASH' 2011.

The two events complement each other thematically.

Thus, the complementary themes of exhibitions INPRODMASH UPAKOVKA cover the full cycle of technological processes - from the primary processing of raw materials to the production of packaged products. That certainly increases the effectiveness of exhibitions. INPRODMASH & UPAKOVKA contribute to implementing the State program dedicated to improvement of efficiency of the agro-industrial complex of Ukraine.

Annualy, leading foreign and domestic manufacturers showcase full spectrum of equipment for food and processing industry: from cutting and processing to storage and packaging of finished articles, as well as ingredients, detergents and disinfectants, etc.

In 2011, leading manufacturers of packaging machinery, materials and technology from Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Russia, Slovakia, France, Turkey, USA, Switzerland, Ukraine and other countries took part in the exhibition. 

The organizer of the trade fairs - ACCO International exhibition company continues to cooperate with the Federal Ministry of Economy of Germany (BMWI), the Committee of German Economy on Exhibitions and Fairs (AUMA). In 2007, the Agreement on Fairs Support was concluded with the German Food Processing and Packaging Machinery Association (VDMA). Co-organizer of the fairs is IFWexpo Heidelberg GmbH Company.

Due to this successful cooperation and holding of the exhibition, world leaders of food machine-building and domestic enterprises have the opportunity to acquaint themselves with the latest achievements in this field.

German manufacturers offered a variety of advanced technologies and products that are optimally adapted to customer requirements.

This year, the Hungarian collective exposition took part in the exhibition. It was organized by the Agency of the Hungarian Investment and Trade HITA.

INPRODMASH and UPAKOVKA are highly appreciated by the food processing industry specialists. Annualy, the exhibition is visited by more than 6,000 people engaged in the production of food. The main purpose of visits: 70% -to familiarize with novelties, 30% -to  meet with partners, 32% - to find a supplier, 45% of guests of the exhibitions stated that they visit INPRODMASH and UPAKOVKA regularly.

Business programme of the fairs touched upon the most pressing issues of the industry. It includes panel discussions, express-seminars and presentations.
